Truck Driver and Yard Person - Emerald

 
 
Countrywide Metals Pty Ltd is a major steel supply business with an excellent industry reputation that has been cemented through our seamless application of customer service to both the domestic and commercial sector. 
 
Scope: 
 
This is an exciting role, working with our team at our Budget Steel Emerald store to ensure the delivery of products to our valued customers. You need to be highly motivated, customer orientated and safety focused.  This position will cover a wide range of delivery areas with strong concentration in Central Queensland. 
 
This position will suit a semi-retired person or farmer wanting supplementary income.  Will consider Full or Part time.  
 
Must have: 

• A "Safety First" attitude & conduct 
• Fit and Healthy 
• Unrestricted HC or MC License and valid Forklift License 
• Exemplary Driving History 
• Proven organisational skills 
• Good knowledge of Central Queensland. 
• Friendly helpful manner 

Main Scope: 

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role  
• Good knowledge of road transport legislation; 
• High customer service skills, good communication, written and interpersonal skills; 
• Previous experience with allocating loads and yard organisation (preferred). 
• Making deliveries to locations within QLD and NSW, aligning with customer demand and requirements. 
• Daily Prestart checks (Including refuelling process). 
• Completing con notes/run sheets and ensuring all critical documents collected. 
• Achieving customer safety goals in direct areas of responsibility and adhering to all relevant OH&S legislative, policy and procedural requirements. 

You will be required to meet Countrywide Metals Pty Ltd employment criteria which will include but not be limited to a Criminal History Check and full medical with a drug and alcohol test.
