Fund Accountant - Contract

Our client is a leading global Funds Services business and currently requires an Investment Accountant to join their team.

It is a diverse role in which the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• working across the entire fund accounting function including unit price/NAV calculations, reconciliations, distribution and withholding tax calculations, and preparing financial statements
• performing statutory and tax reporting for funds
• handling middle office investment operations functions
• liaising with clients to address queries and work through issues

Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Minimum 3 years' experience within Investment Accounting from a  funds management or a custody background with unlisted asset class exposure across private equity, infrastructure and debt
• proven experience in calculating and reviewing unit pricing, distributions, withholding taxes, preparing financial reports
• highly developed understanding of the Australian and international financial services market.
• a strong ability to multi task, strong client services mindset and work to a deadline

You will be tertiary qualified in a business degree and will ideally be on the way to completing or have completed either your CPA or CA studies.
