Statistical Analyst - Experimental Design
The Company
A major Australian Brand in the Wealth Management industry are looking to transform the way they use their analytics function to measure and map the customer user experience.
This is a brand new team whose focus is on measurement: one of its key goals is to provide the expertise, capability & methods to evaluate the quality of the user experience, provide insight into the best places to improve, and show the impact and value of good design choices.
The Role
As part of a new and innovative team, as a Statistical Analyst, your role is to analyse and solve critical customer & business problems, and help create products, services & experiences which delight customers in less time and with less cost.
The team will be made of people from different analytic backgrounds and is a fantastic opportunity work closely with other statisticians, data scientists, business analysts, visual analysts, designers, customer researchers, usability experts, engineers & product owners.
If you have a background in either Applied Research, Statistics or Econometrics and experience in running experimental design and conducting experiments and deriving insights - this is a perfect role for you!
You will be responsible for delivering insight to senior leaders, strategy, design teams, product teams, marketing and sales across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Solve business problems & generate insight from large sets of data and improve the business' understanding & interpretability of data
- Plan, perform, interpret and record experiments
- Provide thought leadership on techniques and questions to ask to achieve business objectives
- Improve the measurement of design and evaluate its impact on projects, experiences, products & services
- Uncover 'unknowns' & create hypotheses to validate and thereby improve the relevancy of data & analysis
- Deliver insights and research findings to the team and executives within the organisation
About You
- 3 -5 years' experience across applied research and planning, performing, interpreting and recording experiments and measuring design.
- Degree or higher degree in Statistics, Econometrics, or relevant quantitative discipline
- Experience using analytical packages such as R, Python, SQL
- Strong analytical skills to analyse results and make meaningful recommendations
- An interest in human-centred design & customer behaviour;
- Motivation to create data-driven & data-led design;
- Excellent presentation skills (written and oral) - this role will be critical in presenting actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
